Tooth, Bone, & Tissue Supported Guides
Pilot Surgical Guide
Used with the initial drill only to ensure the accurate position and orientation of the implant. The rest of the placement procedure is completed freehand.

Tooth Supported Surgical Guide
Usually fabricated for single implant placement or partially edentulous patients. Easily reproducible landmarks (i.e. teeth) are used for retention and support.
Requirements:
-CBCT scan: A cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) this scan is typically required to create a 3D model of the patient's mouth, which is used to design and fabricate the surgical guide.
-Digital impressions: Digital impressions are created using intraoral scanners, which capture a detailed, 3D image of the patient's teeth and soft tissues. These digital impressions are used to create a virtual model of the patient's mouth, which is used to design the surgical guide.
-Clinical data: In addition to the CBCT scan and digital impressions, the lab may require additional clinical data, such as information on the patient's medical history, any existing restorations or prosthetics, and the type of implant that will be used.

Bone Supported Surgical Guide
Used for edentulous patients, this type of guide gains its support from the load-bearing areas along the alveolar ridge.

Tissue Supported Surgical Guide
Gaining its main support and retention from the sot tissues (i.e. mucosa), the tissue-supported guides are commonly fabricated based on an existing removable prosthesis.

-CBCT scan: A cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) this scan is typically required to create a 3D model of the patient's mouth, which is used to design and fabricate the surgical guide.
-Dual Scan: Scan the patient wearing the denture with radiopaque markers or flowable composite dots, and scan the denture on its on with markers in same position.
-Clinical data: In addition to the CBCT scan and Dual Scan, Implant Depot may require additional clinical data, such as information on the patient's medical history, any existing restorations or prosthetics, and the type of implant that will be used.
